It’s lovely to go away to other cities, but we have to admit that it’s also great to be on home turf again this year for #CoffeeExpo2017. Especially as it allows more of our growing Baratza team to attend and be immersed in the wonderful madness that is EXPO and the annual pinnacle gathering of our Speciality Coffee community. Plenty of cool activities for us…….
Launch of Sette 30
We’re delighted to continue with our expansion of the Sette Series, by launching the new Sette 30, our base model of the series. It is built using the same revolutionary new grinding mechanism of the Sette 270 & 270W. The Sette 30 has a macro adjustment for grind size, offering 30 steps of adjustment. A built-in stationary device holder allows the user to grind directly into the supplied grounds bin, or most of the popular brewing devices. This grinder is really geared towards non espresso focused grinding and will come with our coarser designed BG burr. We are going to have it available to ship during the summer.
US Brewers Cup Competition
The whole Baratza team is super excited that Alex Choppin, a member of our support group will be competing in the Brewers Cup competition, having placed 3rd at the Qualifying competition in Knoxville. Alex will be competing again with the delicious Mikuba, a Burundian coffee from the Long Miles Coffee Project and roasted by Olympia Coffee Roasters. Catch this great video about Long Miles Project.
